Our Admission Formula

Cooley Law School uses a straightforward formula to determine eligibility. The Admissions Office takes an applicant's cumulative UGPA as evaluated by Law School Data Assembly Service (LSDAS), multiplies it by 15, and adds the resulting number to the candidate's highest LSAT score.

Cooley's Admission Formula
UGPA x 15 + Highest LSAT score = Admission Index 1

Applicants can qualify for admission to Cooley in a number of ways. An applicant simply needs to apply and eligibility for the type of admission offer will be determined by admissions personnel. 2

Honors Scholars

Many students come to Cooley with credentials that meet and exceed national LSAT and UGPA averages. Applicants with an LSAT score of 149 or higher, or applicants with a Cooley Index of 195 or higher may be eligible for a generous Honors Scholarship. Honors Scholars, on average, comprise 30 to 50 percent of each entering class. More about Honors Scholarships
